TCCC News, May 2005

We are pleased to announce that FIC Global was nominated and chosen for the 2004 Thai-Canadian Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards. FIC Global won Best Thai Partner at the awards ceremony, which was held May 27th 2005, at the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit.

Since 1991 the Thai-Canadian Chamber of Commerce (TCCC) has engaged in a variety of activities to support, promote and enhance members' interests while promoting Thai-Canadian relationships. The Chamber also provides a forum to promote the exchange of ideas, information and opportunities for individuals and businesses with an interest in developing commercial relations between Canada and Thailand. It also actively fosters the expansion of business links between the two countries, while providing social and business networking opportunities here in Bangkok.

The TCCC established its Business Excellence Awards in 1997 in recognition of the achievements of the Thai-Canadian business community and to promote to the Thai community Canada's substantial business presence in Thailand, through technologies and know-how that can have visible impact on Thai and ASEAN markets.

These awards are intended to recognize those Canadian or Thai companies which have made an outstanding contribution to the expansion of business links between Canada and Thailand over the past year. The awards are presented annually with a minimum of one award per year. The TCCC Executive Board determines the number and category of the awards.

This year there was a record number of nominations, hence the most intense competition in the history of the TCCC.
